We are so thankful for the large number of volunteers who make Compassion Closet possible! These volunteers faithfully serve in a number of different capacities, and we are always looking for more partners to join us. Compassion Closet Location Directors
Executive Director: Julie Gillen
Julie handles administrative tasks, ordering supplies, managing emails, and many other behind-the-scenes tasks, while also being a regular, welcoming face at the West Knoxville location.

Mallory has worked to build a team and a resource in her community to care for the needs of children in foster care and support the families caring for them.

Oak Ridge Director: Kristy Smith
Kristy has been dedicated to supporting the local foster care community for years. In addition to regularly volunteering there, she handles a large amount of our communications and social media.

Campbell County Director: Pam Winter
The Winter family has deep, multi-generational roots in foster care & adoption, and is now taking on the exciting role of developing a resource closet in the Campbell County community.

Seymour Director: Amanda Householder
Amanda is a longtime adoptive & foster mom. She recently began working with her community to open our new Seymour closet location.

Farragut Director: Melissa Cox
Melissa has been a part of the local foster care community and the original Compassion Closet team for years and uses her gift of networking to build connections and outreach. She is also the only one of our team brave enough to speak to all the media outlets when they call!.
